Smartphones enable new ways to relate to each other. What is the ultimate proof of love via phone?

Huawei, a producer of Mate 10 lite device, conducted a study titled “Smart(phone) relationships” to find out what are the top ways to say I love you in the mobile world. The research was carried out with IPSOS and gathered data from 12 countries.

Have to be separated from your love but you still want to be romantic? You can send very creative love statement like transmit your heartbeat to your honey, but majority of people keeps it simple. 45% people send I love you as their love proof via smartphone. 15% people send emoticon such as <3 or :* and 11% send I miss you. All of those messages let your partner know you are thinking of her or him throughout the day.

We all know how good it feels to change the relationship status from ‘single’ to ‘taken’.

It is very common around the world for couples to give nicknames to each other, whether they are dating or are married. 26% people put their partner in the contact book in their smartphone just by baby or honey. 17% by other nickname, such as be sweetheart, angel, princess/prince, love, dear, my lover or boo, still most people (38%) put their partner in the contact book in their smartphone just by his or her original name. What is interesting, 1% put their beloved ones in the contact book in the smartphones as “in case of emergency”.

Although smartphones are made from all sorts of electronic components, the real magic of its technological chemistry lies in our ability to make in an emotional medium. Phones help to keep contact with our family and friends, let us stay close to them by texting and calling and, thanks to dating apps help, we can even improve our love life. 30% people send love proofs to their beloved ones by messenger or other similar app and 10% people send them by posting in social media. We all know how good it feels to change the relationship status from ‘single’ to ‘taken’.

Love has been around since the beginning of the human civilization. But the smartphones are able to give it a completely new dimension. With every passing day, there are being used by the love birds to express their feelings and keep fire in the relationships. It really feels great to be able to say face to face I love you regardless of the distance and time, doesn’t it?

The survey was conducted in January 2018 in the following markets: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey by IPSOS, commissioned by Huawei, a producer of Mate 10.
