Everybody knows that in summer it’s indispensable to protect your skin against sun using a sunscreen with SPF, but how to treat your skin in winter?
Perhaps you will be surprised, but it needs the same consistent care as in summer period or even greater. The frost can be really harmful to your skin. Which products to bet on and which to avoid in order to have glowing skin?
The Care by the Sea, in the Mountains and in the City
Winter can really exhaust your skin. It strongly reacts to cold weather, it completely dries and the face can suffer even more than in summer when you use sunscreen with SPF, which, by the way, you need in winter too. It’s important to create a protection layer, which won’t permit the frost to leave any traces on your diligently hydrated skin. Which products will help you?
Gel Creams vs. Skin Oils
If you chose in summer gel creams, which are light and easily absorb into your skin and due to its high content of water, will give your skin a maximal hydration, in winter, forget about them. The mentioned water freezes on your face and you can wonder what’s happening with your skin. In winter face oils are an ideal solution, which won’t make any harm and will perfectly nourish your skin. There is a big oil boom nowadays so you can choose among wide range of types and scents. You can also explore some organic brands that offer good quality oils. For night you can opt for solid variants. Check out British brand Inlight or Czech Biorythme and for the extra nourishment bet on the legendary facial capsules Elizabeth Arden.
Step by Step
Creating a protection layer before getting into inhospitable weather is the last step in face care routine you should establish. You will spend a little bit more time in the bathroom as if you just removed your make-up by micellar water and used a cream but your skin will visibly pay you this care back. The first step will be face cleaning. For oily skin, you can use gels or clay products, which reliably control oil on your skin. You can also use a cleansing brush, the best would be the currently booming Foreo fofo brush, which is very gentle to your skin. The same products bring one big NO for the owners of dry skin. Be careful with the brushes and don’t use the mentioned make-up removals, which also have to be rinsed with water. Who suffers from dry skin should definitely avoid water on their face and better pick out face milks, which will reliably fight the impurities and won’t cause face drying. For the eye area use oil products which prevent your your skin from drying too.
How to Take Care of Your Skin Properly?
The next step, it doesn’t matter if you have such or such skin type, is a face tonic, of course selected according to your skin type. The tonic is usually forgotten and yet it’s the key product in each beauty routine. It stands out in two important aspects. Firstly, it will finish what gel or milk hadn’t. Secondly, and this is its best property, tonic will provide that the following products will be easily absorbed and will be more efficient. If you invest into expensive creams you will get more out of them using tonic beforehand. Then there is the step, which is almost never skipped, the application of serum. Serums play the main role in intensive nourishment that can get deeper than cream or oil, which creates more of a protection shield. That’s why it has a key purpose in skin care. Again you can choose among the products for different skin types but you can also focus on specific problems such as deep wrinkles or pigment stains. Then it’s eye cream’s turn. This can’t be only replaced by facial cream because its consistence is very heavy for sensitive eye area, which has an effect on its absorption and results in puffiness and eye bags. Finally put some oil or hydrating cream and that’s it!
Life is Change
When choosing the right product, it’s better to buy them all at one brand. The whole product line is created so it works together and is more effective than if you built your own by various brands. We have already mentioned the importance of having different products for summer and winter but there is something more. You should change the products every two years and try a different brand. The skin will get used to their effects and they won’t be useful anymore.
