Are you considering buying a new smartphone and want to pick the best one available on the market? We’ve prepared an overview of the latest flagship phones.
Samsung Galaxy S9 a S9+
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ look stylish and elegant, combining very thin bezels above and below the display with a curved screen to differentiate themselves from other phones on the market. The design is unique and irreplaceable. The Galaxy S9 offers a large screen in a small body that fits well into the smaller hands of women. The S9+ model will satisfy large screen phone lovers.
Samsung has greatly improved the speakers, which are now louder and sound better. The sound is dynamic, and the bass strong, letting you better enjoy watching videos or listening to music. The S9 and S9+ are also among the few phones that still offer a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired headphones. This is one of the fastest phones available and will handle any apps and usage.
The camera has two apertures that switch depending on if you’re in a well-lit environment or in a darker environment. Thanks to this technology, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ take better photos especially in low light and also offer a manual shooting mode. And if video recording is important to you, you probably won’t find a better Android phone available today.
Both versions of the Galaxy S9 offer all-day battery life and the practical function of an always-on display, showing the current time and important notifications. It also has Android 8.0 with many add on features and services from Samsung and even fun camera features like various effects or the ability to make your own digital portrait.
TOP 3 Features
- Dual-aperture camera, bringing better low light photos
- A unique design, making Samsung stand out from the rest of the market

Sony Xperia XZ2
The Xperia XZ2 brings a long-awaited design refresh. It has a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080×2160, with slimmer bezels above and below the display, and it keeps the dual front facing speakers this brand’s flagships are known for. Competing smartphones have improved their sound, and so has Sony – the stereo speakers are now louder. You won’t find a 3.5 mm jack on this phone.
The back of the new Xperia is rounded, making the thickest point noticeably fatter than the current trend. The back is made from glass, but Sony put protective glass on both sides. When holding the phone it’s also noticeably heavier than its competitors. Water and dust resistance are also here, so it’ll survive being dropped in the pool or bathtub.
The Xperia XZ2 is meant as a media consumption phone. It has a unique feature that improves the quality of SDR content to HDR. This means videos on this phone will look visually more attractive than they really are. Sony also has a dynamic vibration feature, which is meant to take the experience of watching video and listening to music to the next level.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 has the best graphics performance of any flagship, which is great if you play a lot of mobile games. Some users will also like the inclusion of Android 8.0 with minimal user interface changes.
The battery has a capacity of 3180 mAh; however, it’s impressive how Sony has taken advantage of it. The camera has also been improved, taking better photos in both day and night. The Xperia XZ2 records super slow-mo video and is the only phone to do so in Full HD resolution; it also features 4K HDR video recording.

- A new ergonomic design, pleasantly surprising us.
- Most efficient battery usage, that won’t get used up any time soon.
Huawei P20 a P20 Pro
Huawei’s latest flagships are available in two versions, and both boast an excellent camera. The Huawei P20 is trying to get a good price/performance ratio; it’s the cheapest device out of the new flagships. The phone has a 5.8-inch IPS screen and practical fingerprint scanner placement on the back. It also has a display cut-out (notch).
The P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch and fingerprint scanner on the front, below the display. That means you can comfortably unlock the phone when it’s lying on the table. It also offers fast and accurate face unlock, so when you pick it up, you often won’t even need to put your finger on the scanner.
The P20 Pro has a glass back, which also comes in an unusual “Twilightˮ colour, combining blue and purple. It also has 3 back cameras. Each serves its own function and make photos look even better. The first two are colour and monochrome cameras. The third on the P20 Pro has a telephoto lens, with 3x optical zoom and 8 Mpx. When taking photos, the Huawei flagships will also help you out with AI, which can be turned off. The P20 line capture scenes faithfully, and using the AI feature they like to highlight blue skies and greens.
The Huawei P20 Pro also has a large 4000 mAh battery. It also has great built-it speakers. It’s one of the best on the market. It is also rated IP67 water and dust resistant. The base P20 lacks this resistance, and it’s also missing a 3.5 mm jack and microSD card slot. It does, however, have 128 GB of internal storage.
