Women often make mistakes in choosing the right clothes for their body shape, which varies according to particular sizes and charts.
We give you tips that will help you avoid a fashion faux pas and point out to your strengths and conceal your weaknesses.
An Hourglass Body Shape: Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek
This body type is the best proportion ratio and symmetry, but that doesn’t mean that you can wear every outfit. Loose dresses are not the right choice because all the curves are lost in them and the overall look is angular and shapeless. On the contrary, we recommend tight clothing, where the slim waist stands out, or dresses and V-neckline tops.
Apple Body Shape: Drew Barrymore, Catherine Zeta-Jones
Women who have a more distinct waist, smaller shoulders and hips should show proportions that are less sizable such as breasts, shoulders, or legs. Ideal designs are for A-shape dress with V-neckline, mini-knee-high dresses where your legs are the center of attention. The wide leg pants and clothes in two colors create a visual balance. Avoid skinny pants with a narrow top, or a tight dress that only reveals the weaknesses of your body.
Rectangle Body Shape: Kate Middleton, Gwyneth Paltrow
The rectangle body shape has basically the same measurements – from the shoulders to the hips. The most important is to emphasize what is the most striking part of this body shape. These are legs and shoulders. Short, above knees and sleeveless dress, as well as tops revealing shoulders, are the ideal clothes. Avoid dresses that define the waist, because the part you are trying to hide will stand out.
Pear Body Shape: Halle Berry, Kim Kardashian
Thighs and buttocks are rather sizable, so if your outfit selection is right, the appearance of your body shape creates an hourglass illusion. The great choice is wide-leg pants, A-shaped skirts, or dresses and tops with a flounce or asymmetrical designs that predefine the upper part of the body. Slim jeans with a loose T-shirt again create an hourglass illusion.
Diamond Body Shape: Renee Zellweger, Demi Moore
This body shape is also called athletic body, where shoulders are much broader than hips. A fundamental rule to make the body more symmetrical is to narrow the shoulders by the V-shaped neckline visually and to highlight the lower body with a pencil skirt or tight jeans. Most tops and blouses will look great on you, but you need to focus on the hips and the buttocks that specifically ask for it.
