The top-of-the-line BMW X7 is very gripping at first sight. The cutting-edge design is enriched by exclusivity, generous space, versatility and agile operation too.
It belongs to the SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle) family; its generous proportions underline the dimensions: 5151 mm (length), 2000 mm (width), 1805 mm (height) and 3105 mm (wheelbase). The harmonious lines of the vehicle fit into this frame, dominated by the largest kidney ever seen on a BMW vehicle on the perpendicular front. Along with narrow double headlights, they enhance the width of the vehicle and create a distinctive look.
The new BMW X7 comes with adaptive LED headlights as standard and upon request with BMW Laserlight headlights. The high beam can reach up to 600 meters; the extra large BMW sign on the hood is another specific feature. The side view reveals large windows and a long dynamic flowing roof line. Its distinctive ground clearance confirms the versatile design of the new BMW X7. Light alloy wheels with a diameter of 20 to 22 inches fit into the fender cutout. Narrow rear LED lights, coupled with a chrome trim dominate the rear part of the car; and there are also elaborate tailpipes. The vehicle can be ordered with the Design Pure Excellence, M Sport package and exclusive BMW Individual with extra cost features.
The elegant interior, wrapped in high-quality leather, is standardly occupied by three rows of seats, each position giving passengers a unique sense of space. A second row with two extra comfortable seats is available on request. The modern dashboard got large areas, clean structures, and its lines flow smoothly into the door trim. Newly designed BMW Live Cockpit Professional displays are standardly available with the Digital Center Display Control Display and a fully digital instrument panel.
The cockpit is pleasantly focused on the driver, which is a typical feature of the Bavarian manufacturer’s vehicles. The center tunnel between the front seats is kept for the iDrive Controller, the newly shaped automatic transmission, the start button, the Driving Experience Control switch, the electronic parking brake button and the buttons for controlling the air suspension and off-road modes on demand. The heating and air conditioning control panel also got a modern look. Buttons control all the functions of the lights. On request, some controllers receive a high-quality glass surface. The interior of the new BMW X7 occupy high-quality materials, and its cutting-edge elaboration is eye-catching. The owner also has a wide range of equipment customization options available. The standard is a 4-zone, optional 5-zone air conditioning. In a six- or seven-seat arrangement, the luggage compartment has a volume of 326 liters (maximum 2120 liters). Luggage loading is facilitated by the standard air suspension, which allows the loading edge to be lowered.
Combining Dynamics and Versatility
The sleek bodywork hides the efficient, powerful engines, the intelligent all-wheel-drive system BMW xDrive and the newly developed chassis technology. The new vehicle bet on a proven formula of excellent off-road skills, complemented by excellent driving comfort and agility on the roads. From the start of sales in Slovakia, the range includes the following power units (all Euro 6d-TEMP): gasoline 3-liter in-line 6-cylinder BMW X7 xDrive40i (250 kW/340 hp; 450 Nm; price: 85,350 euros) also a pair of 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel engines for the BMW X7 xDrive30d (195 kW/265 hp; 620 Nm; price: 84,650 euros) and the BMW X7 M50d (294 kW/400 hp; 760 Nm; price: 109,000 euros). In every drive alternative, the exceptionally fast and gentle Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission ensures the transmission of the traction force.
The standard adaptive air suspension with adjustable headroom improves driving comfort in the new BMW X7. The optional Executive Drive Pro system enhances the dynamic driving characteristics with active stabilizers.
Numerous cutting-edge assistance systems support the comfort and safety of the vehicle. For example, the BMW Personal CoPilot package reveals a new milestone on the way to autonomous driving. The standard vehicle includes a braking system with cruise control, collision warning, and City Braking Pedestrian Warning. The optional active stop & go system allows you to stop your vehicle automatically and start it again. For extra charge available: the Driving Assistant Professional package includes features such as lane change and exit warning system, including a traffic jam assistant as well as an active side collision lane assistant.
The lane change assistant can be used on highways and dual-lane roads, along with the activated steering assistant and steering and lane assistant. Another part of this package is an automatic avoidance maneuver. It provides help in critical situations when collisions can still be avoided.
