The grand consumer electronics show returned to Berlin after a forced break. And the IFA 2022 (Internationale Funkausstellung) was something to look at.
Several innovations, exposed at the fair, will enrich the markets in the coming days, weeks, or months and bring entertainment or help to their users. Let’s take a look at some of the exhibits.
The World’s First
Under the name LG OLED Flex LX3, the world’s first flexible 42″OLED gaming TV came to the world. Owners will be able to adjust the curvature manually or remotely, from a flat panel to 900R. The image offers a resolution of up to 4K/120 fps. The novelty features many premium gaming features and practical modes.
The new Sony Xperia 5 IV 5G has excellent parameters and a compact body. The 6.1″OLED display provides Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. Xperia IV 5G is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. It will also delight photographers – it contains 12 Mpx rear cameras – the main, wide, and telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom – all supporting 120 fps recording. The sale is scheduled from mid-September and the price is to be 1049 euros.
Flexible Displays Are In
Asus introduced its first flexible laptop Zenbook 17 Fold OLED UX9702. It can be used in multiple modes – as a 17.3-inch touchscreen with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 2.5K resolution, as two 12.5-inch 3:2 aspect areas with 1920 x 1280 pixels resolution. You can also connect the Asus ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard. The novelty has been tested on 30,000 folds and is equipped with an Intel Corei7-1250U processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics card, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. It will arrive on the market in the 4thQ/2022 and the price will be 3999 euros.
Luxury and High Quality
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre Soundbar delivers superior sound performance thanks to 12 speakers. The soundbar with four patented acoustic innovations can also be connected to more speakers. It will be available with a fabric or wooden beam and can be used alone or with a holder as part of the TV (price 6,500 euros; available at the beginning of October).
The Nokia logo is associated with a novelty in the form of a T21 tablet, smartphones C31, X30, G60, speakers, and headphones. Some of them will be presented in other tech sections.
The Thinnest Projector
The Chinese manufacturer introduced the slimmest DLP projector Yaber Pico T1, which extends the possibilities of viewing video recordings from mobile by multiple people. The case is only 13.2 mm thick, and the weight of the device is 150 g. The projector enables projection with diagonals from 10 to 100 inches, with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 110 ANSI lumens brightness, and a contrast ratio of 350:1.
Armed with Features
The fourth generation Amazfit GTS4 smartwatch features a 1.75-inch AMOLED display. Further, there is a pre-installed operating system Zepp OS 2.0, optical sensor BioTracker 4.0 PPG, or dual-band GPS. Other functions include answering phone calls or quick replies to SMS messages. The watch can be pre-ordered for about 200 euros.
