Fresh Summer Drinks with Herbs
Drinking fluids during the summer is essential for proper body functioning. Besides water or soda, try homemade lemonade. Herbs will give them a new and refreshing taste.
Lavender
Fragrant lavender is an herb that will bring you a good night’s sleep or repel moths in your wardrobe. It is also increasingly being used in recipes. You can add it to salads, rice, or various drinks, such as refreshing summer lemonades. Just chop a handful of lavender, mint, and lemon balm and combine them with water. Add lemongrass or lemon slices to create a juicy explosion. Finally, add some ice, and a fantastic summer drink is ready!
Mint
Fresh and tasty mint is an essential part of summer drinks. Thanks to its delicious aroma and taste, it can be used in all summer drinks. You can mix it with lemon or berries. If you blend mint and spinach, you will create a great smoothie that will give you energy for the whole day!
Basil
Basil is an herb widely used in the kitchen. Dried basil is excellent, but fresh basil can make miracles. People often grow it on window sills in the kitchen and on balconies or terraces. Use basil to make tasty and especially refreshing summer soft drinks. Cut and add a few slices of lemon and chopped basil leaves to water. You can also add juicy fruits such as strawberries or watermelon. Leave everything together for at least half an hour and add ice cubes. It’s really refreshing!
Tuscan Lemonade
Would you like to try fresh Italian drinks from the comfort of your home? Prepare a great Italian lemonade! All you need is 6 lemons and 5 glasses of water. Squeeze the lemon juice and add it to the water. Add some mint, basil, and rosemary. Wait a few minutes, and it is ready to refresh you during hot summer days!
