electronics novelties

The beginning of the year is usually marked by the discovery of novelties in consumer electronics, which will soon appear on the market throughout the year.

These products are raising the bar higher and higher. There is much to say about deploying artificial intelligence, for example.

More Options

Samsung unveiled its first smart ring at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). This device is still in development, but we know that it will have high-end, very accurate sensors that record heart rate and sleep phases. The Samsung Galaxy Ring communicates with the phone via Bluetooth, and its task is to constantly monitor health functions because the ring is more compact and easier to wear. However, it should not become a substitute for the smart watch but only an addition to it.

AI Implementation

Honor, a Chinese consumer electronics brand, introduced the Magic6 Pro premium smartphone at MWC. The basic features include a 6.8-inch AMOLED display (2800 x 1260 px), 120 Hz refresh rate, 12 GB RAM, 512 GB internal memory, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The primary and wide-angle cameras have 50 megapixels, a telephoto lens has 180 megapixels, and the front camera boasts 50 megapixels. Battery capacity is 230 mAh. Several elements of artificial intelligence have also been introduced to this premium smartphone. It features multiple functions such as a higher user experience, generating texts and responses, faster access to communication and information, or improved, more precise images of moving objects.

Cutting-edge Sound

Sennheiser introduced the Momentum True Wireless 4 headphones, which have received plenty of improvements. Based on modern technologies, they are entitled to the “best Sennheiser wireless headphones.” The fourth generation offers excellent audio performance for 7.5 hours, with a charging case for up to 30 hours. TrueResponse drivers and Bluetooth Lossless technology guarantee clear and detailed sound (frequency range 5 to 21,000 Hz); Qualcomm S5 Sound Gen 2 and Snapdragon Sound technologies are also available.

More Powerful

Apple introduced the new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air with its own M3 chipset, which is more powerful than M2. Performance increased by about 17% in single tasks and by 21% in multitasking. The graphics processor has about 15% higher performance. The new models have 8 GB of RAM; the maximum capacity is 24 GB RAM, with 1 TB of storage space. Wi-Fi 6E is also included.

Top Product

The top model of the Marantz Cinema 30 AV receiver has 11 channels built-in (140 W, 8 ohms, 20-20,000 Hz) and can process up to 13.4 channels (preamplifier outputs for such configuration). The novelty is equipped with several features and modern multi-channel spatial DTS technologies (DTS HD Master, DTS:X, DTS:X Pro, DTS Neural:X, DTS Virtual:X) and Dolby (Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, Dolby Atmos Music, Dolby Surround). Built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections mean integrated streaming, compatibility with control systems, and the ability to control inputs through the app. Seven HDMI inputs (supporting 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz) guarantee enough input flexibility for Blue-Ray, streaming devices, gaming systems, etc.
