Culinary masters have become famous mainly for their special recipes and the art of combining ingredients and creating unexpected flavours for the taste buds.
These true culinary stars, however, are also famous thanks to their cooking shows and social networks as well as for their charitable activities, which they consider to be a natural part of their work.

A Good Boy from the UK
The most well-known kitchen magician and star of cooking programs on television is Brit James Trevor Oliver, also known as Jamie Oliver, or the naked chef.
Oliver is the author of many cookbooks and has also presented several cooking shows, the most famous of which is The Naked Chef.
Jamie is a great promoter of better meals in school canteens. He himself is the father of five children and therefore knows from his own experience how children should ideally eat but also that in the real world, unfortunately, this often doesn’t work. In the course of his travels, Jamie visits school canteens in the UK and likes when preparing a menu for children and cooks to offer valuable advice on making healthy and balanced lunches that kids will love.
Currently, Jamie is also dealing with unpleasant facts, as his network of restaurants is in debt and undergoing restructuring. The reason is the expensive rents and also the Brexit issue, which has increased the price of imported Italian raw materials. So, not even the biggest stars can avoid problems.

Stormy Chef
The second most famous chef is Oliver’s countryman, Gordon Ramsay. He is also Oliver’s opposite. While Oliver is seen as pleasant, smiling and boyish, Ramsay is a strict chef who is never far away from a sharp comment. He also has his own cooking show and also presents as the feared culinary jury in the program Kitchen Nightmares, which is the model for the Czech show Ano, šéfe! In his professional career Ramsay has thus far acquired an unbelievable16 Michelin stars and in 2001 got the Michelin star for three of his restaurants at one time.
Gordon Ramsay owns a total of 30 restaurants in Europe, the USA, in Asia and the Middle East and tries to experiment with various dining models. He opened a restaurant in Prague, but it was not as successful as he imagined it would be, so he closed it after one year.

The Woman Who Can Cook in 30 Minutes
In third place among the most famous chefs is American chef Rachael Ray. On her TV program, she shows you how to prepare quick meals that take less than 30 minutes to prepare. She received a Daytime Emmy Award for her cooking show. Her mother, who comes from France, and her grandmother, who comes from Italy, both had a great influence on Rachael’s cooking career. These two European meccas for all gourmets have also indirectly influenced Rachael’s style of cooking. It is fast and light and based on herbs and fine flavours. Her speciality is hamburgers cooked in all possible ways. And viewers love her show.

Head Chef from India
Vikas Khanna is another cooking superstar, and not only because of his cooking, but also as the chef who is considered to be the sexiest. He performed on the TV show MasterChef India. He is also the author of the whole range of cookbooks, owns a network of restaurants and is successful in the field of film production. His love of food and cooking comes from his grandmother, whom he helped in the kitchen as a young man, and who taught him many of the recipes he draws on to this day. In 2000 Vikas Khanna moved to New York and became the head chef at the Salaam Bombay Restaurant. He has been awarded a large number of prizes, including a Michelin star. His television program Khanna’s Holy Kitchens, in which he linked food and spiritual contexts, was popular. Thus, he emphasized the importance of food in individual religions. He founded the charitable “Cooking for Lifeˮ project, which also involved other chefs. The aim was to help areas that have been affected, for example, by natural disasters.
