In times of electromobility, there are still new top sports cars powered by classic combustion engines.

They are often referred to as supersports, which means that, at first glance, they are aerodynamically and stylistically perfectly mastered vehicles. Of course, graceful lines and powerful drive bring the owners to remarkable longitudinal and transverse accelerations.

Honoring the Founder

Giotto Bizzarrini (June 6, 1926 – May 13, 2023), the Italian founder, has indelibly entered the history of the automobile industry. Among other things, he worked on the most iconic Ferrari of all time – the 250 GTO. Honoring the founder, Bizzarrini created the Giotto supercar, which received a 6626cc V12 atmospheric engine (created in collaboration with Cosworth). If we read the digits on the volume, we can spot the birth date of the sports giant. Giorgetto Giugiaro worked on the design with his son Fabrizio. The prototype is expected to undergo its first tests early next year.

A Nice Farewell

The Alfa Romeo says goodbye to racing with the 33 Stradale combustion engine. It pays tribute to the 1967 model, powered by a 2-liter eight-cylinder engine. The limited series with 33 pieces also offers an electric version. The “classic” is powered by a 3.0 V6 twin-turbo engine, an 8-speed ZF double-clutch transmission, and the rear wheels drive. The engine reaches a maximum power of 456 kW (620 hp), sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3 s, and the top speed is 333 km/h. The electric alternative is powered by three electric motors with a system power of 552 kW (750 hp); the acceleration is about 3 s, and the maximum speed reaches 310 km/h. For comparison, the unladen weight – a model with an internal combustion engine shows a value of 1500 kg, an electric alternative of 2100 kg. The special edition is hopelessly sold out.

Stylish Mansory

The German designer says goodbye to the Lamborghini Aventador with a stylish Mansory Carbonado GTS. The redesigned Aventador SVJ Roadster has received several stylistic exterior modifications. At first sight, it impresses with a two-color shade varnish. The original Lamborghini engine – an atmospheric 6.5-liter twelve-cylinder engine – received a maximum power of 603 kW (820 hp) and a torque of 780 Nm after the designer’s touch. The Mansory Carbonado GTS achieves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 s and a maximum speed of 355 km/h.

Second Edition

In the second generation, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé is presented as a 2+2 vehicle, i.e., the wheelbase is larger than its predecessor (2700 mm). At the time of launch, it will be presented with a 4.0 V8 biturbo drive; both power variants cooperate with the new 9-speed automatic transmission. The AMG GT 55 version has a maximum power of 350 kW (476 hp; 700 Nm), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 s, and reaches 295 km/h. The more powerful AMG GT 63 has a maximum power of 430 kW (585 hp; 800 Nm), sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 s, and the maximum speed reaches 315 km/h. The advanced all-wheel drive system allows the vehicle to operate with rear-wheel drive or with variable power distribution to the front axle (up to 50:50). It will be on sale in the first half of 2024.
