The automobile world has been enriched with plenty of innovations again. Let’s have a look at a couple of them.

Today’s topics are mainly electromobility and its further development. The following examples reveal what is currently happening.

The Highest Performance Ever

Porsche has created its most powerful production model ever – the Taycan Turbo GT. The all-electric sports car uses state-of-the-art design and aerodynamic features. The basic drive power is 580 kW (788 hp). When the Launch Control is activated, the power with the Overboost function increases up to 760 kW (1033 hp) or 2 s to excellent 815 kW (1108 hp). The maximum torque is up to 1340 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 2.3 seconds (with the Weissach package in 2.2 seconds). Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h takes 6.6 s and, in the Weissach version, 6.4 s. The maximum speeds are 290 km/h and 305 km/h, respectively. The range of both models should reach 555 km (according to WLTP).

It offers alternatives with front-wheel drive (maximum power of 157 kW/213 hp and 170 kW/231 hp; 345 Nm torque for both versions) and a “four-wheel” variant with two electric motors (maximum power of 237 kW/322 hp; torque of 345 Nm at the front and 170 Nm at the rear). The rechargeable batteries have capacities of 73 kWh and 98 kWh, guaranteeing a range of 500 km and 660 km (WLTP). A five-seat configuration offers a luggage compartment with a capacity of 748 l; in a seven-seat configuration, it is reduced to 259 l. The new model will come to the market in fall 2024.
