Automotive news can be perceived as a colorful world. Information about the diverse range of vehicles and their technical characteristics comes from every corner of the globe.

Let’s enter the waters of electromobility and picture a few examples confirming that the producers often develop exciting projects.

The Birth of Another Hypercar

If the new Italian 777 Motors manufacturer (based on the Monza circuit) merges with Dalara, Gibson, and Umberto Palermo Design, the result is a project called 777 Hypercar. This intention was presented at the end of last year, and the development of technical cooperation is a one-seater special designed for the Monza circuit. Hypercar can’t leave the track, and the owner can only drive it there. The 4.5 V8 (536 kW/730 hp) atmospheric engine in the middle is a product of Gibson Technology (using synthetic fuel). The body and aerodynamic accessories create the necessary downforce (at a speed of 370 km/h up to 2.1 tonnes). The number of units produced will be 7 (the first units will appear in 2025), and the price will be EUR 7 million.

Preparing the Second Generation

Škoda Auto is preparing for the arrival of the second generation of the Kodiaq, which started the offensive in SUVs in 2016. The power spectrum of the two petrol and two diesel engines will range from 110 kW (150 hp) to 150 kW (204 hp), based on the 1.5 TSI with mild-hybrid technology. The plug-in hybrid Kodiaq iV gets a combined power of 150 kW (204 hp) and an electric range of 100 km. All alternatives will be fitted with DSG as standard. The new model has a larger interior space and even more advanced assistance systems. Optionally, it will add up to a seven-seater SUV with a length of 61 mm, and the interior will be newly assembled. The second generation will be introduced in the fall of this year, entering the market in 2024.

Renault Flagship

In the spring of 2024, a new Renault Rafale will appear on the market (the name is a reference to the record aircraft from 1934). The sporty SUV coupé is comparable in size to the Espace, built on the CMF-CD platform. It will be available as a self-charging hybrid with 118 kW (160 hp) and 147 kW (200 hp) and a plug-in hybrid with a system output of 221 kW (300 hp). The new SUV will become the first model to combine all-wheel drive and 4Control. In this case, an electric motor will drive the rear wheels.
