A Beautiful Fall Garden

Warm tones, scents, astonishing details, beautiful flowers, and colorful berries are inseparable parts of fall. This year’s trends are even more interesting. Make sure your garden breathes a captivating fall atmosphere. How can you achieve this?

Start by replacing withering annuals in pots with typical fall greenery. Don’t forget about chrysanthemums, the inseparable fall perennials. They stand out for their tremendous assortment, with flowers of different sizes and colors. These compact, bushy plants have long and abundant flowering. You can buy them in various garden centers. Plant a few in your garden (always buy slightly blooming plants) and soon you’ll discover that you’ve brought a pleasant fall atmosphere to your exterior. You can plant chrysanthemums in decorative pots, loose soil, flower beds, sidewalks, or in the front garden.

Potted Greenery

In addition to chrysanthemums, don’t forget about heather, ornamental cabbages, cyclamens, ragwort, colorful coral bells, blooming asters, gentians, gold and silver chrysanthemums, hebe, and other plants typical for this season. Use this greenery to create imaginative combined plantings that will make fall days more enjoyable and turn the exterior of your house or apartment into a charming space infused with autumn. To keep this greenery fresh for a long time, make sure to water it regularly. At the same time, try to give it as much sun as possible and ideally place it in a visible location.

Garden Ornaments

Bring a fall mood to your garden by planting different plants in ornamental pots. You can get flowering perennials in garden centers almost all fall. The most beautiful are Japanese anemones, asters, wolf’s bane, coral bells, bistorta, bugbane, stonecrops, spurge, and other species. You can also plant them in solid ground packaging during flowering. Creating a beautiful, typical fall flower bed in a sunny place with slightly moist and nutritious soil will enable you to create a fall garden at the last minute. However, when buying these perennials, keep in mind that groups of plants look better than just one. They can be both larger and smaller, but they should always consist of one species. Grateful ornamental grasses also belong to fall. You can include them in your fall kingdom in various sizes: lower, medium-high, and higher species. They impress in flower beds, but also independently, or in front of groups of ornamental shrubs. The most beautiful species that you can use to decorate your garden in the fall are the ornamental tree, millet, or fountain grass. However, lower species and varieties of spurs are particularly interesting, especially due to their colorfulness.

What’s a Must?

When considering what to add to your garden to create a pleasant fall atmosphere, don’t forget about plants, trees, or shrubs that are interesting in the fall with colorful leaves or nice fruits. There are many options and fall is perfect for planting. The species that stand out for their beautifully colored leaves are mainly Japanese maples, but also deciduous spindle trees, witch hazels, shadbush, sweet gums, ornamental apple trees, cherries, or barberry. Beautiful berries grow on cotoneaster, beautyberry, hawthorn, ornamental apple trees, barberry, or rowan. However, keep in mind that these trees will thrive best in sunny places with nutritious soil. It is also important to reserve enough space for each tree and not to cram the garden with too many species.
